Delicious Wines in the Strawberry Patch

The buds are unfolding on this year's strawberry crops, and all who love their juicy sweetness can't wait to get out there in the area's fields and pluck the juicy berries. Numerous local farms offer pick your own experiences, but one of the best around has to be at Andrews Scenic Acres on the 10th Sideroad, south of Acton on Hwy 25. It's family-friendly and it has a fabulous Scotch Block Winery where you can have your pick of award winning berry-delicious wines. One of the strawberry wines has a delectable hint of chocolate. For lily lovers, they have a spectacular pick your own flowers - bring a container and take home some of the most stunning blooms you'll ever see. Here, owner Bert Andrews samples his wares. Bert and his farm are going to be featured in the summer edition of Halton Hills Sideroads Magazine, published at The Independent newspaper office in the Georgetown Mall.
